Renowned Spanish street artist, Remed, painted the large mural on the Eastern side of the building as part of the 2012 Adidas I ART JOBURG project. The visual impact Remed made on the building was so profound that he was commissioned by Propertuity to collaborate on the full design of the building to create a truly remarkable landmark in Maboneng. Remed’s signature typographic style can be found on every floor and doorway of the student accommodation as part of the building’s authentic wayfinding system. The building was developed in 2013 and launched in 2014 as Maboneng’s first ever student accommodation providing living space for 106 students with 11 retail rentals available on the ground floor to students who wish to showcase and trade their work. Remed’s View is no longer limited to students and rooms are available to non-students as well.
