Propertuity Development (Pty) Ltd, the innovative urban renewal property company best known for the Maboneng Precinct, today announced that its Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jonathan Liebmann is stepping down to pursue other opportunities.

The move coincides with Propertuity’s progression to a consolidation phase, where the company will focus on seeking efficiencies to maximise its investments made to date. Jonathan will remain a shareholder in Propertuity and continue to be available in an advisory capacity to the company. He will also continue to contribute to the Maboneng Precinct as a dedicated member of the Maboneng Civic Association.

Current Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Reanne van der Merwe, will take over as acting CEO. Reanne brings 22 years of experience to the role with 10 years in property executive positions at Pareto Limited and Mangwanani Spa Group.

Jonathan Liebmann commented: “Propertuity has transformed the Johannesburg landscape with its landmark project the Maboneng Precinct that has had a hugely positive impact on local communities, businesses and artisans. I’ve really enjoyed building this business and I’m confident that it is now in a good position, with the right strategic support, for me to move on and explore new opportunities.
